I often get asked what is the best hotel in Liverpool and I have to say that there isn’t a single hotel that stand’s out from the rest. Sadly the Adelphi Liverpool, hotel should be supporting that crown, but instead it is languishing with Trip advisor’s mid table performers, in fact out of it’s 847 reviews they have alarmingly over 340 reviews that have been given the status of terrible.
The Adelphi Liverpool hotel is part of Liverpool’s heritage and sadly it has become the source of humour and yet it’s colossal structure, and stunning demeanour, must give it’s owners whoever they are the impetus to re evaluate the status of this once stunning Hotel. In my opinion it is the last piece in the jigsaw to complete the resurgence of Liverpool.
Here is a picture taken by a guest, in the Adelphi Liverpool, how much would a new shower curtain have cost, it is clear from this picture that it isn’t even a question of an injection of a large investment, but there is also an issue with their staff who seem to have excepted that this is a Hotel very much on the decline.
Here is a video of our latest development in Bold Street just a few hundred yards from the Adelphi Hotel, as you can see we have restored this building to a very high standard keeping all of its original features.
The Adelphi Liverpool is an ideal hotel if you are coming in from Lime Street

Liverpool has in the last 5 years re established itself to it’s former glory and is now known as one of the best architecturally designed cities second only to London, as you will see from this blog I am in the Hotel industry and I have designed and developed what is now Signature living and as a result of this I really do understand the cost implications in redesigning this hotel. I am sure that the timing to do this project lay sometime in the future, but it is certainly a project that I would have placed high on any Liverpool planning agenda.
I believe that the owners of the Adelphi have re invested part of their profits from this Hotel to try and bring this once amazing Hotel to it’s former glory, with 402 beds and many ballrooms I think it will take sometime.
We have now created the first of its kind in the World, Club Stay a 3000 square foot apartment with over 30 beds and all in the centre of Liverpool, this is a totally different style of accommodation than that you would have become accustomed to in the Adelphi hotel.
Signature Living have now purchased a new Hotel in the very centre of Liverpool’s Shopping district, literally yards from the Met Quarter, this stunning Hotel, will have over 100 beds, a Bar, Club and a restaurant, somewhat smaller than the much larger Adelphi Hotel.
Our hotel will be opened on the 29th march 2013
