At Signature Living, we’re hugely excited to share our latest plans for one of the best loved bars and restaurants in Liverpool – the fabulous Alma de Cuba.
The upcoming summer months will see our plans for Alma de Cuba finally put into action, so we thought we’d share what you can expect from the city centre favourite.
Alma de Cuba is located within one of Liverpool’s most treasured city centre buildings, St. Peters Catholic Church. Also known as ‘the Polish Church’, the striking church was the first in Liverpool to be converted into a flourishing social venue – and it’s safe to say that Alma’s vibrant social scene is set to continue!
While cultivating the features that Liverpool fell in love with, we’ll be working on revamping the venue and giving it the touch up that it deserves.
We’re looking forward to continuing to celebrate Alma de Cuba’s Latin American roots, while incorporating some exciting new features that will only enhance Alma’s unique atmosphere.
So, what can you expect?
- Lunch menu to change to Cuban tapas
- Cuban dishes served for dinner menu
- Alma’s infamous, colourful petal shower and samba dancers will continue
- Menus will be printed in Bible-style books, with cocktails and drink lists in hymn books
- Samba afternoon tea plus fabulous cocktail and dance masterclasses
- Daily live music with a new cast of actors and dancers
- An underground speakeasy bar located in the crypt
- A new floor added on to restaurant space
- A private dining space for larger groups
- Luxury adjoining hotel linked to Alma via tunnel
Our aim for Alma is to transform the bar and restaurant into an all-day venue, perfect for a delicious bite to eat and tasty cocktails all year round.
The events and features that we’ll be adding to the venue have been carefully planned, with the aim to bring groups of family and friends together under one roof, all ready to celebrate with a dynamic, lively atmosphere.
This is a fantastic space and we aim to celebrate the bar’s thriving Saturday atmosphere, without overlooking weekdays. In fact, we feel that Alma has the potential to attract waves of visitors every day of the week, which we intend to achieve.
At Signature Living, we’ve successfully cultivated the character of historic buildings before. 30 James Street Hotel – Home of the Titanic now operates as one of Liverpool’s most popular hotels, offering guests the chance to wine, dine and relax in style.
We managed to restore the former White Star Line headquarters and transform it into a luxury hotel and wedding venue, without compromising on preservation. Regular Alma-goers can rest assured that some much-needed TLC will do the venue a world of good!
